Two Canucks in Top Ten at US Open; Taylor Top Amateur

Mike Weir and Stephen Ames shared tenth place at the US Open completed today at Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, New York. The event was won today by Lucas Glover by two strokes over Phil Mickelson, David Duval and third and second round leader Ricky Barnes.
Top amateur for the event was Abbotsford, B.C.'s Nick Taylor who finished with a share of 38th place.
Albert Murray and his brother Charles are to this day the only brothers to have each won the Canadian Open. Albert, the younger of the brothers Murray, won the Open in 1908 and 1913, while Charles captured the title in 1906 and 1911.
