D.J. Trahan over came a four stroke deficit to win the $5.1 million Bob Hope Chrysler Classic on the Classic Club courses in Palm Desert, California.

Sole Canadian to compete in the final round was Mike Weir. Weir finished back in 56th place

TRIVIA
After losing his sight in dynamite explosion in 1948, Claude Pattemore took up golf three years later. By the following year, he was the best blind golfer in the country and continued a career as one of North America’s premier blind golfers for more than 20 years. He was the International and U.S. Blind Golfers’s Champion in 1963 and was a 12-time winner of the Canadian Blind Golfers’s Championship between 1952 and 1972. He is a member of the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame.
