Two Canucks in Top Ten at US Open; Taylor Top Amateur

Mike Weir and Stephen Ames shared tenth place at the US Open completed today at Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, New York. The event was won today by Lucas Glover by two strokes over Phil Mickelson, David Duval and third and second round leader Ricky Barnes.
Top amateur for the event was Abbotsford, B.C.'s Nick Taylor who finished with a share of 38th place.
Bob Panasik of Canada is the youngest player to make a cut at a PGA Tour event. Panasik was 15 years, 8 months old when he made the cut at the 1957 Canadian Open.
