Graham Baillargeon of Mississauga, Ontario shot a final round 72 to win the Canadian Junior Boy’s Championship by four strokes at the Elm Ridge Country Club in Ile Bizard, Quebec.

Matt Hill of Bright’s Grove, Ontario was alone in second at 285. Jean-Hubert Trahan of Lachenaie, Quebec, Beon Yeong Lee of Montreal and Zach MacDougall of Coquitlam, B.C. all tied for third at 287.

The 18-year old Baillargeon, who started the day with a one-stroke lead over MacDougall, bogeyed three of his first six holes. Baillargeon came back and sealed his victory when he holed an 80-yard wedge shot to make eagle on the par-5 17th. With the win he earned an exemption into next week’s Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship.

In the juvenile competition Eugene Wong of North Vancouver, B.C. earned the 16 and under national title by shooting a final round 72 to finish in first at 289. Riley Wheeldon of Courtenay, B.C. finished second just one-stroke behind at 290 while Jonnie Motomochi of Delta, B.C. was third at 295.

On Tuesday, the RCGA crowned the inter-provincial team champion with British Columbia earning their fourth consecutive title. MacDougall along with Wong led Team BC with Daren Wallace of Langley and Thomas Petts of Vancouver also contributing. BC carded a two-day total of 427 for first place while Ontario was second at 431.
