Mike Weir shot a final round 68 to capture his eighth PGA title and his first sice 2004 at the PGA’s $5,000,000 Fry's Electronics Open at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The victory, on the heels of Weir’s defeat of Tiger Woods in match play at the Presidents Cup, lifts Weir, legitimately, back into golf’s elite.

Weir outlasted Mark Hensby with a 6-foot par putt on the final hole after hitting his approach on the par-4 into a bunker.

Billy Mayfair finished alone in third at ten under par, three strokes back of Hensby.

Third round leader, Carl Pettersson finished with a share of fourth with Sean O’Hair at nine under par.

Stephen Ames shot a final round 68 to finish with a share of 27th place at two under par.
