Stephen Ames shot a pressure packed final round 68 to capture his career third PGA title with a one stroke win at the $4.6 million Children's Miracle Network Classic presented by Wal-Mart at the Disney's Magnolia & Disney's Palm Course near Disney World at Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

Ames captured the final official event of the 2007 PGA Tour by blasting a 60-foot bunker shot to within three feet of the cup on the final hole.

The win will also help Ames next year with invitations to additional events that will start him off nicely on the money list. It lifts his earnings to over $2 million for this year with a cheque for $828,000 and improves his ranking to 31st on the money list, leapfrogging, among others, Mike Weir.

Alone in second place was Tim Clark, one stroke back at 16 under par.

Tag Ridings shared third place with Robert Gamez and Scott Verplank.

A couple years ago Ames had to forego a family vacation with his kids when he qualified at the last minute for the Masters. Now he knows that pleasures of Disney World, perhaps a vacation with the kids is in order.
